Montana Veterans Memorial is near one of the Great Falls of Montana, which Lewis and Clark discovered on June 13th, 1805. This historical landmark embraces its rich past while looking to the future.


When you enter the Veterans Memorial, you’ll see an area that’s dedicated to the Blackfeet warriors, General Pershing, Einar Malmstrom and Mike Mansfield. You can also find a section with tiles showing Meriwether Lewis, William Clark and the Little Shell Tribe of the Chippewa.

  • The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Interpretive Center brings to life the daily experiences endured by a select group of U.S. Army soldiers and civilian volunteers, known as the "Corps of Discovery Expedition", commanded by Captain Meriweather Lewis and Second Lieutenant William Clark to explore the newly acquired western portion of the country.
  • The C.M. Russell Museum, which displays watercolor and oil artwork of C. M. Russell, ("Kid" Russell), was an American artist of the American Old West. He created more than 2000 paintings of cowboys, Native Americans, and landscapes set in the western United States. 
  • First People's Buffalo Jump and National  Historic Landmark, located near Ulm, MT, is an archaeological site with possibly the largest bison cliff jump in North America.
  • Giant Springs State Park located just outside of Great Falls, Montana. Home to the Roe River, the world's shortest river at only 201 feet long at its longest constant point.
