Veterans Day

Veterans Day ceremony at the Montana Veterans Memorial 11AM Sunday, 11 November, 2018

With special remembrance of the 100th Anniversary of Armistice/Veterans Day when World War I ended on 11 November 1918. We encourage the community churches, worship halls, schools and fire stations to ring the Bells of Peace precisely at 11AM on Sunday, 11 November 2018. Information on Bells of Peace available below.

The program outline is posted below; the ceremony will be held at the Montana Veterans Memorial with seating available. If inclement weather disrupts, the ceremony will be at the Centene Stadium lobby as done before if we have heavy ice, snow, and/or moisture.

The thirteen American Flags will be flown along Montana Veterans Memorial Drive as follows:

  • President’s Day      ~     3rd Monday in February
  • Armed Forces Day     ~     3rd Saturday in May
  • Memorial Day     ~     Last Monday in May (2PM ceremony)
  • Flag Day     ~     June 14
  • Independence Day     ~     July 4
  • Labor Day     ~     1st Monday in September
  • Veteran’s Day     ~     November 11 (11 AM ceremony)
  • Also on such days as proclaimed by The President of the United States
  • All flags will be flown at half-staff as follows:
  • Peace Officer’s Memorial Day     ~     May 17  until sunset
  • Memorial Day     ~     until noon (2PM ceremony)
  • Patriot Day     ~     September 11  until sunset
  • Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day     ~     December 7  until sunset

Flags will also be flown at half-staff as directed by The President of the United States

TILES WILL BE INSTALLED IN THE FALL BEFORE Veterans Day 2015 and added to the tile search database for the public.



We have installed a new kiosk at the Memorial to help you locate tiles. 

Touch the screen to activate it, then enter the first three letters of the last name.

The screen will show which Memorial Panel the tile is located in.
